Text as Data on news headlines
R Project
This project demonstrates a subtle shift towards more negative language in political headlines after the 2016 election, reflecting the polarizing nature of Trump's presidency. However, the result suggested that the broader impact of Trump's election on news sentiment was relatively modest.
Analyze Sleep Quality Data
Jupyter Notebook Project
This project is designed to find the regression model that can best predict the quality of sleep using Jupyter Notebook. The used datasets were from Kaggle, and its original data were collected through the Fitbit Tracker device to figure out the correlation between exercise and the time to fall asleep.
Death Penalty and Religious belief
R Project
The research focuses on individuals' influence and information ability to form opinions on the death penalty and its use in modern-day America. The project used designed survey questions to answer the questions, "strong religious beliefs in Christianity affected the American population's supportive attitudes toward the death penalty."
Imports and Children labor
R Project
This research examines the relationship between imports of goods and services and child labor rates in developing countries. While the initial analysis suggests a statistically significant negative correlation between higher imports and lower child labor rates, the inclusion of a control variable, the infant mortality rate, weakens this relationship. The study highlights the complexity of this issue and calls for further research to consider additional factors that may influence child labor rates in developing nations.
